Insiya Thanawala, MBBS, MD

Insiya Thanawala, MBBS, MD, is a medical graduate trained in anesthesiology, with a particular interest in pain medicine, community healthcare and clinical leadership. She completed her MD in Anaesthesia at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India, where her training focused on acute and chronic cancer pain management.

At Aafiyat Medical Centre, Insiya plays an integral role in clinical operations and management. She works closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop services, strengthen clinical systems and improve the patient experience across Aafiyat’s expanding network of clinics.

Her work includes helping to develop and coordinate specialized clinical programs, including Aafiyat’s iron infusion services, alongside initiatives focused on improving access to coordinated, patient-centred care. With her interest in pain medicine, Insiya is passionate about developing healthcare services that look beyond individual treatments to consider patients’ function, quality of life and overall well-being.

Her vision is to help Aafiyat grow thoughtfully while preserving what matters most: compassionate care, accessible healthcare and a strong connection with the communities it serves.
